StriVectin-SD Eye Cream for Orbital Area Application

I'm convinced the reason I LOVE vampires so much is because I can relate to the whole "paleness" thing!  I am so very white, so much so that as I become older (Oh! the horror!) you can see the dark circles under my eyes even more prounced than usual.  Like any good mama, I've been on the lookout for products to help me combat this horrendous "dark-circles" epidemic!  So, for the past 6 weeks I've been using the StriVectin-SD Eye cream for Orbital Area Application (a mouthful!).  This is what it says on the product packaging:

StriVectin-SD Eye Cream *helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles & dark circles around the eyes *includes additional soothing agents for the delicate skin around the eye *has the same functional compound as the original StriVectin-SD without the aromatic oils.

Based on other reviews I read, I suppose the original one that came out had oils that irritated the wearer's eyes, so they made a newer version.   This wasn't very affordable at about $30.00 for the little tube, but to be fair, most eye creams are crazy expensive, so this one falls right down the middle of most. I was faithful in applying it twice a day as directed and really didn't see any dramatic changes in the dark circles.  They were a bit less dark, but the product does state " helps reduce the appearance" doesn't actually state that the dark circles will disappear.  So, overall, not all that impressed by it.  Would love to hear about any eye creams you mamas out there have tried.  I'm tired of looking tired!

NIVEA's Touch of Sparkle Cream Oil Body Wash, Diamond Powder and White Calla Blossom

Okay, so I had to started with a product from Nivea, it certainly helped that it had "Diamond Powder" in the ingredients, I mean, what girl doesn't absolutely LOVE Diamonds?  Like many of you, I love buying all those yummy smelling body washes and lotions that promise smooth skin, but the reality is, most of the time I don't end up using them and they are the first things to go when it's time for spring cleaning.  So when I came across this I thought, why not, let's give it a try.  This is what the product website says about it:

Enriched with sparkling diamond powder and conditioners, this exquisite pearlescent cream oil creates a supreme lather that glides over skin and rinses smoothly. The tantalizing scent of white calla blossom illuminates your senses and skin is left soft long after the shower. Developed with NIVEA's Skin Sensation Technology to provide a shower experience that lasts and lingers, while leaving your skin smooth and moisturized.

As you can see, based on this description alone, I had to try it.  It sure helped that it was cheap, oops, I mean affordable (under $7.00).  Well, after a month of using it, I have to say, I can't believe I've gone without this product for so long!  It does exactly what it says it does while your in the shower and it totally "lingers" on your skin all day. It smells awesome and doesn't leave your skin feeling slimy.  This is a great product for us pink ladies out there that like to multi-task! So, if you are like me and forget to apply lotion every day and night this is a good alternative.
