Group AWESOME

I recently had the privilege of meeting a group of ladies that have become fast friends!  I was asked to help lead a table (Thanks Melissa!) at our Women's Bible Study, little did I know that I would come to meet the most caring women at my church.  The study we did was Jennifer Rothschild's "Me, Myself & Lies".  It was a pretty intense study because it made us take a real good look at ourselves and how we speak to our soul.  We said goodbye to our negative self-talk and filled our hearts and minds with the TRUTH of God's word for us.  Though these ladies were not "assigned" to my table, God definitely had a plan when he put them with me.  Gotta love our Awesome God! We picked the word AWESOME as our group name to remind us that we are God's creations and God doesn't make junk.  I am so thankful for the divine "appointment" of these ladies being at my table.  I already miss them and I just saw them at our last meeting.  The great news is that we were challenged to continue to get-together and hold each other accountable which we plan on doing over brunch in 2 weeks!
All this being said, it's tough some times to open up and share with strangers, but that's just it, everyone will be a stranger unless you let them in to be a friend.  I am proud to call these incredible women my friends!  Thanks for the support, love and caring you showed me.  Take a chance girls, you never know where you will find your next friend!
Pink Mama Out!

My girls got me flowers! PINK flowers!  Gotta love them!

  3. Sandy! It's been a long while. Miss seeing your face at Potential (FRC). You know I've seen your post title for quite some time on my blog as I follow yours (please do the same). I thank God that as I saw the title today I felt strongly to read it today, and I must say this was a treat. So glad God has you in a place where you are surrounded by women who will empower you to shine out being the best you, you can be. Pink or any other color, your post ROCKED and so do you!

I especially enjoyed this bit of insight and wisdom you shared, "everyone will be a stranger unless you let them in to be a friend." By the way I will be quoting you on my blog post. Not sure when, but when I do you will know.

By this blessing no doubt from God, the treasury of my heart grew. Thank you for sharing your heart with all of us.

Keep shining for the Lord my dear sister.

    YOU ARE LOVED,
    Flavio.
